Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center which houses The Battered Women’s Shelter and Rape Crisis Center for Summit and Medina Counties, is committed to serving our survivors and those who seek our services during this time. Our goal is to be able to continue to do that with the safety and health of our employees and survivors in mind.

We at the Battered Women’s Shelter know firsthand that home is not always a safe place for everyone, so now more than ever we need to provide our services. During the quarantine in China, there was an exponential increase in domestic violence seen by advocates. It is our duty to continue to give them hope that help is out there should they need it.

That being said, we may need to call on the community to help our organization navigate this unprecedented time. Our organization is committed to answering all hotline calls, keeping our programs up and running for those who rely on our help. That means we need to keep up with our financial commitments to our employees and other services that make our shelter run smoothly and provide the basic needs that everyone deserves.

We are so grateful for your thoughts and prayers for us and the world during this time. For more information on our services or to make a donation, please click here.   You can also make a donation by texting GIVE to 330-583-5366.

Sincerely,

Terri Heckman, CEO & the Board of Directors of The Battered Women’s Shelter and The Rape Crisis Center of Summit & Medina Counties
