On Campus

We’re here for you.

There is help for you, right on campus

At the University of Akron, Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center provides students with free, confidential support and services for survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, and interpersonal violence and abuse. Students can access advocacy, therapy, and other services and resources right on campus.

Visit us today at Hope & Healing’s University of Akron Office, located in the Recreation and Wellness Center, Room 246.

Our campus advocates provide confidential support, which the University of Akron faculty is not able to provide as mandated reporters. Survivors may remain anonymous, and information is not shared with anyone unless you provide written consent.

Stop by our campus office to learn more and access support for you or someone you care about. Or, call our 24/7 hotline at 330.374.1111 or chat now.

What is Title IX?

Title IX, a federal law prohibiting sex-based discrimination in education, ensures that educational institutions receiving federal funding maintain policies and practices that promote gender equity and provide a safe environment free from sexual harassment and assault.

Hope & Healing’s role is to educate and advocate for survivors, ensuring they are aware of their rights, facilitating access to support services, and participating in the overall effort to create a campus environment that prioritizes safety, equity, and the wellbeing of all individuals affected by Title IX issues.
