At Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center, our Holiday Giving Program aims to support adults and children in our shelters and community programs during the holiday season. Through two key initiatives, we strive to ensure that every individual feels valued and cared for.

Adopt-A-Shelter

This program provides essential household supplies to our shelters, helping us meet the needs of those who enter our facilities. Adults and children often require items such as pajamas, socks, underwear, coats, toiletries, and over-the-counter medications. Additionally, our shelters are in constant need of cleaning supplies, cooking essentials (pots, pans, dishes, and silverware), bath towels, and paper products. Donated items do not need to be wrapped, and gift cards are always appreciated. Upon choosing to participate in this program, you will receive a list of items that are currently needed.

Adopt-A-Family

Individuals and families residing in our shelters and community programs can be “adopted” during the holidays. If you choose to support this initiative, we ask that you provide all holiday gifts for the individual or family you adopt. Please note that those who are adopted will not receive gifts from other agencies. When you select this program, a wish list will be sent to you, along with the names of the individuals and/or families in need and instructions on whether the items need to be wrapped or unwrapped depending on the survivor needs.

Group Project

This option invites companies, organizations, schools, churches and community groups to come together for a giving tree or fundraiser. If you’re interested in this collaborative effort, we will reach out to discuss your ideas and how we can assist in making your project a success.
