Therapy Services
You are not alone.
We’re here for you.
Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center offers free therapy services to survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, stalking, and human trafficking, no matter how long ago they were hurt.
Our therapists work with survivors 12 years and older, of all gender identities, races, religions, and sexual orientations, in a therapeutic, confidential, and trauma-informed environment.
Therapy is free and confidential for any community member or resident of our shelters.
What is therapy like?
Therapy provides a safe and confidential space for survivors to explore and process trauma, learn to cope with emotions, rebuild a sense of self-worth, and develop healthy coping skills.
Our goal is to empower survivors to reclaim control over their lives, so that they can recover and thrive.
Our therapists are specially trained in providing care to survivors of domestic violence, abuse, sexual violence, and human trafficking. They are trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT, and motivational interviewing, in order to promote healing and recovery after trauma.
Youth Therapy Services
Therapy services are available for children and youth ages 5-17. Children residing in our shelters, and children from the community who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, or human trafficking, are eligible for youth therapy services.
Family Therapy
We offer free family therapy to family members during or in the time following their loved one’s experience. Trauma often impacts the entire family, and our therapists are available to support the whole family in their healing process.
Therapy for Co-Survivors
We offer up to five therapy sessions for co-survivors (family members, partners, and friends) in order to provide support during or after their loved one’s experience with sexual violence and/or domestic violence. These sessions can include emotional support and basic coping strategies, education on trauma, and ways to support their loved one.
