Purple is the color of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and we are excited to announce that this year, in October, we are officially starting our Salons Support Shelter Campaign. This will be the first annual campaign where salons in Summit and Medina counties donate a percentage of sales or tips; during a day, a week, or even the whole month October to help end domestic violence in our communities.
We will promote your salon on our social media channels and at our events held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Being a part of this donation campaign, for example, would mean that we receive a small percentage from any purple product, hairstyle, or nail treatment sold in your salon during the time you have the capacity to partner with us.
If your salon posts and tags BWS in any of the purple styles on Instagram or Facebook we will repost and thank you. We serve anyone that experiences domestic violence so if your clients are male, trans, gender fluid, or women please take this opportunity to talk to them about why purple in October is so important.
You could even stage the style with purple nails holding a safety card or perhaps your client could hold our brochure in an after picture of their new style. We are more than obliged to send a member of our outreach team to your salon with materials on domestic violence, or we would really love to give a presentation to your whole staff. In 2019 BWS hopes to work with salons to a provide Cut It Out Class where local stylists can earn CEUs and learn more about the connections that salons may have with survivors of domestic violence.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
