Your compassion can create a lasting legacy.

When you include Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center in your estate plans, you help ensure that survivors will have a place to turn—not just today, but for generations to come.

Your legacy can help provide a safe place to stay, compassionate advocacy, trauma-informed counseling, safety planning, and the resources survivors need to build safer, healthier futures.

You don’t have to be wealthy to leave a legacy.

A legacy gift can be a gift of almost any size. You can designate a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or even a portion of a retirement account or life insurance policy—often without changing your current financial security.

By choosing to include Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center in your estate plans, you are showcasing your commitment to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking for generations to come.

From emergency shelter and safety planning; to case management and hospital advocacy; to outreach and prevention education; your gift will ensure that we can continue to provide hope and healing to survivors far into the future.

Sample Language for Drafting Your Bequest

For an unrestricted gift that allows Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center to determine how to use the funds based on the most pressing needs, use the following language for your will and/or trust:

To designate your provision for a particular purpose:

“I give to Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center, a nonprofit corporation currently located at 974 E Market Street, Akron, OH 44305, or its successor thereto, _____ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property]. This gift should be used for ___________ [state purpose] if and so long as Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center determines that the need exists. If Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center shall determine at the outset or at a later time that the need does not exist, or no longer exists or for some reason it is not possible (or prudent) to administer my gift as originally intended, then Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center may, in its sole and uncontrolled discretion, direct the use of my bequest for a purpose related as closely as possible to that stated above.”
