Agency Collaborations

Collaborations are important for our agency for growth and educational opportunities. At Hope & Healing, we are always looking to partner with different community organizations. Some of our current collaborations include Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), Summa Hospitals, Summit County Probation Department and Asian Services in Action (ASIA Inc), International Institute of Akron (IIA) and more. Please contact us to find out how our organization can work in tandem with you.

Community Presentations

At Hope & Healing, we offer a variety of presentations and can tailor a presentation to your group depending on age, topic, and length. Some examples are Healthy Relationships, Consent, Power and Control, Cycle of Violence, Agency History and Services, Responding to Disclosure, Social Media Safety, Active Bystander and Bullying.

A big part of our mission is to give preventative education in our communities so that we can help stop the occurrence of violence before it happens. Helping individuals to explore their boundaries and find their voices is an important part of what we do. For many participants, our presentation is the first time that they have been given the chance to be able to discuss such subjects. We always encourage critical thinking and questions.

Schedule a speaker to talk to your congregation, civic group, business, hospital, probation department and anyone wanting to learn more information about the free services provided by Hope & Healing. Presenters are available seven days a week, including evenings and settings can be formal with power point and screens or a simple sit down in a group with coffee.

Multi-lingual Outreach

There is a lot of diversity in Northeastern Ohio and we know that intimate partner violence and sexual violence can affect anyone, so we’ve made it a point to create outreach materials in multiple languages including Nepali, Arabic, French, Spanish, Mon, and English. We understand that demographically our communities are always growing and changing so we have made sure that phone interpretation is available 24 hours a day on both of our hotlines and whenever possible we employ in-person interpreters as well.

Our services are for everyone no matter what language they speak or where they were born. Everyone has the right to a life free of violence.

Tabling

Hope and Healing can also provide a table with literature and informational giveaways at your event at no cost. Our tables are staffed with an Outreach Specialist who can answer any questions you might have. Stop by next time you see us behind the green table cloth and grab a pronoun button, carabiner, pen or coloring page.

If you’re interested in inviting us to your next event or would simply like us to drop off informational materials please fill out our short contact form.
